"Weight Of Death" conjures up a bleak, destructive and violet vision of the world, driven by a seditious and inflammatory manifesto, and while James Bond may have come from Russia with love and drinking martini, AMBASSADOR21 storm out of their native Belarus powered by a vicious cocktail of hate, anger and vitriol. Such musical fury is, of course, nothing new; AMBASSADOR21 themselves have a good history of riotous sonics, but for their new album some military discipline has been added to their punk ethos. "Weight Of Death" continues their collision of diugital hardcore jungle beats with frenetic guitars, but the introduction of traditional noise-industrial, helped along by collaborationists with a host of Ant-Zen and Ad Noiseam artists, adds form to their soundclash. And despite the callous musical butchery around them, the duo refuse to fall into the trap of misanthropy, meaning that while "Weight Of Death" might be ferocious and brutal, it is in equal measures inspirational. by Alex Whitehead for Rock Sound ORKUS (8.5/10) DE: Minsk, Weissrussland, Fruehjahr 2006. Seit langem kaempfen Alexey Protasov und Natasha sowohl mit ihrer Band als auch dem Label Invasion Wreck Chords mit musikalischer Aggressivitaet gegen das betuliche Einschlafen der Menschheit an - auf ihrem aktuellsten Album ziehen sie noch einmal an und strecken gewohnt mit knallharten Instrumentalstuecken wie auch mit in hintergruendig durchdachter Lyrik und ein- bis zweideutigen Botschaften verpackten Hate-Songs die Normalitaet nieder. Die konsequente Soundfortfuehrung ihrer Electro Punk-Geschichte (im Sinne eines Alec Empire, wobei dieser Vergleich inzwischen nicht mehr gezogen werden kann) fuehrt auf "Weight Of Death" zu 13 krachenden Tracks, streckenweise verzerrt bis ins groebste Schlachtfest, gelegentlich garniert respektive ausgeschmueckt mit, wenn nicht sogar die Grundlage schoepfend aus melodischen Samplelinien ("Drunken, Crazy With A Gun" oder "My Little Freedom") und wirren Textfetzen. Die Platte ist leider im Gesamten etwas matschig produziert, verliert aber dennoch nichts an Aussage und erreicht dank der allgemeinen Vielseitigkeit im geordneten Chaos enorme Durchschlagskraft: Hier findet man wahre Aggression ohne auch nur einen Hauch von Verschoenung. AMBASSADOR21, the hardcore electronics duo, completes a successful European tour and spews forth their verbalisms born from honest conflict against worldwide injustice and inhumane actions. For some time now, Alexey Protasov and Natasha have been fighting with aggressive musicianship against the oh so convenient falling asleep of mankind, both with their band as well as with the label Invasion Wreck Chords – on their most recent album they increase the pressure and assassinate normality the way we know them with hard-as-nails instrumentals as well as thought out lyrics and ambivalent messages packed into hate-songs. The consequent constinuation in sound of their electro-punk-history (in the sense of one Alec Empire, even though this comparison no longer is valid) leads to 13 noisy tracks on "Weight of Death" which are partialloy distorted into the most brutal slaughtering, occasionally seasoned, respectively bejewelled with, if not even drawing their basis from melodic samples ("Drunken, Crazy, With A Gun" oder "My Little Freedom") and crazy torn-apart text and vocals. Unfortunately, the record as a whole has a slightly muddy production, however loseds nothing in terms of expression and reaches an enormous level of impact due to the overall variety within ordered chaos: Here you can find true aggression without even the slightest beautification. This time they have help in the form of Converter, Mothboy and Fragment King all adding to the already destructive force that is AMBASSADOR21. 'Weight Of Death' sees Alexey and Natasha far more focused and powerful than on previous releases. This is real digital hardcore mother fucker!!!! by Alex Boniwell for Terrorizer AD NOISEAM AMBASSADOR21's most ambitious release to date (and their first one on actual CD), "Weight Of Death" sees the duo keep on the fire of their digital hardcore strong. While they have a lot fewer guests on this one than usual, they are still moving in a clearly more industrial, rhythmic noise direction. The guitars are strill strong, AMBASSADOR21 are still angry, and this track written with MOTHBOY is their absolute best so far. Das Meiste schreit Natasha auf Russisch und Titel wie 'The Ballet of Bullets' oder 'Delete the Elite' lassen den Rest erahnen. Aber ganz sicher Musik, fuer die der ausgestreckte Mittelfinger als Geste so wichtig ist wie mein taglicher Gang durchs Treppenhaus. de:bug CHAIND DLK (4.5/5) After intensively touring Europe AMBASSADOR21 concentrated their efforts on an important step of their musical career: the second album. For this reason they gathered their friends coming from Invasion Wreck Chords roster to help out: guitar riffs are by Ctrler, bass guitars by Mark Kammerbauer, Converter collaborated on “'New doctrine about trinity II” (already released on August as online single), Mothboy is on “Winter trip 2” (an ambient industrial track really intriguing), while Roger Rotor collaborated on “Delete the elite”, which sees on backing vocals Proyecto Mirage, Synapscape, Rasputeen, Asche and Ctrler. Respect the old releases WEIGHT OF DEATH finds a better organized noise structure. If on “Akcija” the main thing was the “assault effect” on this new album the chaos has been better organized. Probably the various guests had an important role on this but I think that Alexey and Natasha are now more confident and trained into creating tracks where punk impetuosity, distorted sounds and break core rhythms find a good balance into their distinctive wall of sound. In this way the guitar riffs break through the shouted anthems of the duo while pumping drum sounds beat the rhythm of a riot's soundtrack. AMBASSADOR21 are tuning up their weapons and as they say: “the bullet changes the power fast”. by Maurizio Pustianaz for Chain DLK GOTHTRONIC (8.2/10) A few years ago I saw these Belarussians perform live in the pub of the ORKZ, a former hospital and squat in my hometown where every now and then bands are playing. I still remember that it was delightfully wrought up, the band certainly left a positive impression. Since then they have been everything but passive; this cd, released in march 2006, is their most recent sonic raid. Slogans such as "When You Rape Us We Will Seek Vengeance" and "Those Who Survived Then Didn't Know They Had Less Luck" certainly manage to evoke a feeling of resistance and pent-up rage. In the beginning of their career AMBASSADOR21 was a typical digital hardcore act, this album shows that over time they have advanced towards industrial quite a bit. Given the punk attitude of the band you could even say that this sounds suspiciously disciplined. Natasha and Alexey, the persons responsible for this tempestuous stuff, didn't do everything alone, by the way. The stout opening track "New Doctrine About Trinity II", a pulverizing successor of the song "New Doctrine About Trinity" from the debut "People Vs. Ambassador21", was created together with Converter. Furthermore Mothboy helped with "Winter Trip 2", while Fragment King contributed to "The Ballet Of Bullets". The grinding "Delete The Elite" (catchy title!) came about in cooperation with Roger Rotor and also features a host of guest vocalists, namely Alicia Willen, Rasputeen, Andreas Schramm, Tim Kniepp and J. aka CTRLer. The latter also plays guitar on this record, seconded by Mark Kammerbauer on bass. Since many hands make light work, it's not surprising that this cd sounds rather smooth without sacrificing intensity in the process. To be fair, it must be said that AMBASSADOR21 is also perfectly capable of keeping your interest without the influx of third parties. The track "Light My Fire", which despite the title has nothing to do with the Doors, is a good example of that. We're certainly not dealing with decrepit old rock here... this pounding industrial beast actually makes me think of Warsaw Pact armies that conjoinedly invade a Comecon member which appears to get out of line. And what to think of the galloping closing track "My Little Freedom", a passionate and noisy bastard which miraculously avoids derailing into chaos? AMBASSADOR21 claims that this is the best album they've made thus far, it's certainly true that the heavy electronic punk is hard-hitting and effective. The fierceness and insolence shown here are quite to my liking, actually. These massive thumpers with anarcho-punk screams and sneers in Russian and English are at least as effective as water cannons used against demonstrating crowds. Time to get wet! by Nanhold for Gothtronic INDUSTRIAL BIBLE AMBASSADOR21 are a power noise project with a unique twist in the form of Natasha, the angered female vocalist. Not since the days of Atari Teenage Riot have I heard such raw, adrenaline pumped vocals. The ultra hard and super chaotic music behind tracks such as "Batman vs Elvis" are juxtaposed against short, slow, melodic breaks. The sampled guitar loops reminded me of the early Swamp Terrorists music. "Legalize Death" sports a great, trippy, break beat with screeching guitar samples, and Natasha’s sandpaper-like vocals. "Delete the Elite" features some rich, hair band sounding guitar loops, shared male (Roger Rotor) and female (Natasha) vocals, and a thick, staticy rhythm. The highlight of the CD is "New Doctrine About Trinity II" (feat Converter). This slowly building piece begins with a low rumbling sound and spoken word samples which slowly fade as the tumbling, scratching beat is introduced. As the track progresses, some harsher, scary sounding synths are added in, building up to the pinnacle of the track when Natasha’s semi rough vocals are introduced and carry the track on to the end. Whereas I tend to steer away from most poser noise I found myself coming back to this CD again and again. Not every track was a winner, but the ones that I did enjoy, I enjoyed a lot. Industrial Bible MAROCK MAGAZINE (8.5/10) La mort pese lourd! Tout comme le nouvel opus des Bielorusses AMBASSADOR21! D’ailleurs, la lourdeur de la baseline qui annonce cette nouvelle digital heavy pearl le prouve ! Y a de quoi vous arracher de votre chaise une fois que la sauce est balancee dans votre hi-fi. L’album «Weigh of Death» est assez different des precedentes sorties du groupe, c’est beaucoup moins speed, plus indus que digital Hardcore, Alexey est beaucoup moins present au chant, contrairement a la charmante Natasha et ses digital screams! Sur cet album on trouve pas mal d’invites, tel que Converter sur «New doctrine about trinity», Mothboy sur «Winter trip 2», Fragment King sur «The ballet of bullet» et enfin Roger Rotor sur «Delete the elite», ainsi que pas mal de musiciens supplementaires, ce qui enrichit les chansons! «My Little freedom» un track (parmi d’autres) qui a capte mon attention, on sent que le duo prend son pied! Natasha delire a son aise au chant, tout comme Alexey derriere les machines, ce qui donne un super beau cocktail. Так что могу гордится тем, что один из немногих кто первый услышал это электронное мясо от оплотов белорусской альтернативы, хоть trinity hi-fi написать отзыв получилось только сейчас. Агрессивный, мощный trinity hi-fi сочный Digital Hardcore собственного разлива. В качестве приправы выступили ремиксы от таких небезызвестных проектов как: Converter, Mothboy trinity hi-fi Fragment King с Roger Rotor. "Приготовься вздрогнуть...", этот трек надо было ставить первым, trinity hi-fi не восьмым, т.к. саунд просто заставляет вздрагивать trinity hi-fi биться в такт с пульсом намного чаще. Мощный бит trinity hi-fi искаженный кричащий вокал Наташи Протасовой на протяжении всего альбома просто рвёт мозг желанием быть услышанной. Надо быть готовым, что на тебя обрушатся просто тонны звука trinity hi-fi крика в первую же секунду. Очень энергичные trinity hi-fi прокаченные ритмы не дадут сидеть на месте, они просто засасывают в свою мясорубку, со всем говном что trinity hi-fi вас скопилось, превращая вас в не переваримый фарш. Это действительно, одна из немногих команд, где текст имеет не меньшее значение, чем музыка. Политические темы trinity hi-fi способы их решения, причем не самые гуманные, но порой единственные. Революции... Прежде всего, в себе, в своих головах trinity hi-fi умах. Некоторые строчки выглядят как явная провокация, призыв к действию. Встать trinity hi-fi начать отрываться. "Интеллектуальное мясо" - я бы назвал это так, думаю, многие согласятся. Очередной альбом их электро-индастриэл-проекта способен привести такого неподготовленного к восприятию подобной музыки слушателя, как ваш покорный слуга, в состояние едва ли не шока. Итак, что есть. Явно агрессивная, активная, напористая звуковая атмосфера, где основное внимание уделено ритмической основе. Именно она в первую очередь заводит, ошарашивает, буквально сшибает с ног. Привычные музыкальные ориентиры отходят на задний план, фундамент устоявшегося с годами восприятия музыки предательски уплывает, оставляя глаза в глаза (уши в уши) с необузданным напором мощного бита, искаженных звучаний электроники trinity hi-fi голосов. То, что издают супруги Протасовы, сложно назвать вокалом. Это, скорее, крик души, пропущенный через преобразователи звука, это буквально вопль людей, которые стремятся к одному: быть услышанными. Поначалу услышать их очень непросто: уж больно необычна эстетика избранного "посланцами" музыкального языка. Никак не отношу себя к числу подготовленных любителей подобного творчества, но вместе с тем не могу не признать, что эта музыка производит мощнейшее воздействие. Могу даже подозревать, что при непосредственном контакте с исполнителями в каком-нибудь клубе, концертном зале это воздействие может быть куда большим. Безусловно, у этой музыки есть своя, пускай небольшая, но верная аудитория. Ведь AMBASSADOR21 активно работает в Европе, trinity hi-fi в компании исполнителей, исповедующих подобную стилистику, минчане вовсе не чужие. Более того: основанная ими издательская фирма постоянно выпускает сборники исполнителей электро-индастриэла. И то, что представители этого сообщества, -- люди политически активные, нет никакого сомнения. Достаточно вспомнить, сколько откликов на недавние события в Беларуси от европейских музыкантов появилось на сайте AMBASSADOR 21. В сравнении с этим, действительно, любой сайт любой минской FM-станции выглядел просто мёртвым. Категоричность, открытость высказывания AMBASSADOR21 передается не только через звуковое оформление композиций, которое (видимо, согласно стилистике) явно подавляет текстовое содержание. Да, иногда дойти до сути текстов песен очень непросто. Требуется приложить порой большие усилия, чтобы буквально прорваться сквозь звук к словам, которые бросают вызов, шокируют. Но, как можно понять, супруги Протасовы не делают это самоцелью. Даже когда утверждают: "Пуля быстро меняет власть", это звучит ничуть не призывом, trinity hi-fi всего лишь констатацией. Эдакое жизненное наблюдение людей, приговоривших FM-формат, но оставивших за собой право иметь право на собственное мнение. Отформатированные исполнители неинтересны уже хотя бы потому, что их потенциал легко предугадать. AMBASSADOR21 оставляет все же впечатление некоей загадки. С одной стороны, его творческие принципы категоричны trinity hi-fi легко узнаваемы. С другой, эта музыка являет собой исключительно гремучий коктейль (такой вот музыкальный коктейль Молотова), способного, будто упомянутая пуля, trinity hi-fi сбить с ног, trinity hi-fi с не меньшей силой заинтриговать: trinity hi-fi что может быть потом? Что -- потом? Знать ответ на этот вопрос -- значит, окончательно приговорить исполнителей вместе со всеми возможными форматами. Но эту программу следует прослушать даже самым закоренелым приверженцам "Перекрестков Европы" trinity hi-fi прочих 75% музыкальной "лимиты". Поверьте: хорошо прочищает мозги, которые в Беларуси так стремятся приучить ко всему тому, что может быть только белым trinity hi-fi пушистым.
